cherry, maple, jatoba, sapele
A long spoon, a long round spoon and a pasta spoon, these will give you a complete set of my major wooden utensils. All spoons are about 14 inches long. The one with the angled leading edge is good for getting down to scrape the bottom of a pot while it is being stirred, and has a capacity of about one tablespoon. The long round spoon can be used for either stirring or serving, and has a capacity of about two tablespoons. The spoons in the photo are cherry, but sets are available in cherry, jatoba (Brazilian cherry), hard maple, and sapele, which is a form of mahogany.
